Constructivism is a 4 letter word
Constructivism is about the character of people’s knowledge.
Scientific knowledge resides in the heads of individuals, so the model is self-referential.
When combined with an awareness of the lack of “absolute” character of scientific knowledge, this can lead to a non-productive “relativism” in which science is “just one more way of looking at the world.”*
