Results
The UWPEG found that > 75% of students in calculus-based physics assumed that the magnet would feel a torque as a result of forces between the magnetic poles and the electric charges.
After traditional instruction the number was still > 50%.
When I returned to my own class, an informal survey showed a similar result.
