Research Interests: Experimental Nuclear Physics
- Parity violating electron scattering:
We just completed data taking for the G0 experiment in
Hall C at JLAB in April 2007.
- Radiative
beta decay of the neutron (RDK) at the
nuclear reactor at NIST
in Gaithersburg, MD. This experiment is being led by
the Fundamental
Neutron Physics group.
- I've also recently joined an
experiment to measure anti-quark
distributions in the proton and nuclei, using a process known as Drell
Yan production of muon pairs at the Fermilab
main injector, called E906. This experiment is being led by the Medium Energy Physics
group at Argonne National Laboratory.
- I've also recently joined an
experiment to search for an electric dipole moment of the neutron which
will eventually take place at the new Spallation Neutron Source in Oak
Ridge, TN. Here's
some info.
Past Experiments which have been my
main activities:
- The SAMPLE
experiment at the MIT-Bates Linear Accelerator in Middleton, MA.
(completed in 2003).
- The structure of the deuteron: t20 in (ee'd)
in Hall C (completed in 2000).
